Prambanan Temple
UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in 18 km east of Jogjakarta, the largest Hindu temple of ancient Java.
The Prambanan compound also known as Loro Jonggrang complex, named after the popular legend of Loro Jonggrang.
Borobudur Temple
Located in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. For about a century and a half it was the spiritual centre of Buddhism in Java, then it was lost until its rediscovery in the eighteenth century.
Museum Affandi, Jogjakarta, Indonesia
A museum of Indonesian expressionist painter since 1934. Affandi designed and constructed this building himself which also functioned as his home. The beloved painter passed away on 23 May 1990 at 83. Affandi and his wife are now buried in the museum complex.

He is now buried in the museum complex, as he wished to always be surrounded by his family and his works.
Taman Sari Water Castle, Jogjakarta, Indonesia
It was a resting house and recreation garden for the Sultan and Family. Also functioned as a meditation area and a hiding place against the enemy attack. Built by Portuguese architect in European aquatic construction adorned with Javanese Symbolize ornaments in mid 18th century.
Today Taman Sari castle complex is occupied by a settlement called 'Kampung Taman' with 2,700 residents

Indonesian-Austrian postmodern movie musical film, .The story is a modern interpretation of an Indian Hindu mythological story called 'Ramayana' that features traditional Javanese classical music and dance.

I attended 1 gig, still in Jogjakarta and randomly found this impressive eclectic indie band called 'GENDHING' that succesfully put together different genre of music into harmony of a song, drum n basses, reggae, hip hop, new age, ethnic, electro.
